“A hotel receptionist who killed two colleagues and then hid from police inside the bed where he dumped one of the bodies is facing life in prison after being found guilty of their murders.
Attila Ban stabbed Tibor Vass, 20, before murdering Alice Adams, also 20, after participating in a threesome with the pair.
The 32-year-old killer even updated his Facebook status from his hiding place during the early hours of August 10 last year as police searched for clues into the violent deaths of his co-workers, writing: ‘I’d like to wake up from this nightmare.’
A jury at the Old Bailey heard how performing arts student Miss Adams, who had only worked at the hotel as a receptionist for three weeks, was found fully-clothed lying on the floor of Ban’s staff quarters at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel at Heathrow Airport, with a cushion over her face like ‘a discarded rag doll’…”
How’s this do with mind possession?
With Mind Possession the person acts out according to an accumulation of thoughts towards people and their environment, which are accentuated usually through the use of drugs and alcohol or through allowing oneself to compound these thoughts and in a moment of rage the person will become possessed into the Mind and act out these hidden self-created characters.
Therefore to have made the decision to kill people – this man had participated for example in thoughts and backchat over time towards these people related to anger, resentment, comparison, jealousy etc – where in his mind he participated in imaginary moments where he played out instances of acting out towards the person. The same applies for scenarios copied through media, games etc where the person allowed themselves to accept parts of what they see as acceptable means of expression and through participation with the information in the mind (imagining oneself doing what the person did in the movie/game/scenario) – they person merges their thoughts with what they are experiencing/seeing on the internet/tv – Such as the belief that they could kill someone just like in the movie. Or that they develop a form of ‘respect’ for a character in a movie/game – such as seen in the case of the Dark Knight killer – an example of mind possession through believing oneself into a part of that character and imagining oneself being able to do or be a part of that character.
Then especially when using drugs the person loses conscious control and because the drug takes the person into the mind – the person is then locked into those parts of themselves within the mind that associated with the character on tv/media/games or that the person created through secret thoughts towards others. Now as the drug takes the person into the mind – the person looses most of their control mechanisms they would usually use to suppress the hidden characters and the drugs allows those parts of the mind to surface.
The media and imagination points mentioned above are usually linked as we copy into our imagination the heroes/vilans and characters we see in movies/games/imagery – to use those as reference points we have come to accept and respect. That is why a lot of imagination in people/children in developed through the villan/hero concepts that are continually portrayed by hollywood. You will find hollywood/movies to constantly impulse violence/good/bad/ heroes/villains/corruption/love/sex/relationships – as this becomes the foundation from which the human develops the imagination into which we develop characters. Therefore if you look at how humans infuse the mind through what is watched around us – the media play a big roe in providing imagery and sensations for the development of characters.
